Susan Schmidt is an American journalist who has worked for The Washington Post since 1978. She has covered a variety of topics including politics, national security, and the environment. Schmidt has won several awards for her reporting including a Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for her coverage of the firing of U.S. attorneys by the Bush administration.
Jim Palmer, on the other hand, is a former American baseball pitcher who played for the Baltimore Orioles from 1965 to 1984. He was a three-time Cy Young Award winner, a six-time All-Star, and helped the Orioles win three World Series championships. Palmer has also worked as a television color commentator for the Orioles and has been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
